National Library Week 2016 - Huge Success!

Thank you students, faculty and staff for celebrating
National Library Week with us!

What a week it was!
Monday through Wednesday the library assisted our local PBSC AFC chapter with a huge book sale on the west side of library. Books were donated by faculty and staff with the library donating withdrawn books. Many patrons are already asking us, 'when' is the next book sale?
 

From the AFC President Ray Coultier:

"I am very proud to announce that we have grossed our highest total for the book sale for the second year in a row! Thank you to all that made this happen!  Without your hard work and dedication, we could not do this."

Proceeds benefit PBSC AFC Scholarships!
 

Tuesday in the Gallery we had a very special event called “Legendary Locals of West Palm Beach” with two of our Lake Worth campus

published writers Dr. Ginger Pedersen-Vice President Information Services and Janet Devries-MLIS, Library Technician II.

They shared stories of some of the most prominent and notorious local personalities. 

A copy of  Legendary Locals of West Palm Beach
was raffled off at the end of the session!

Also on Tuesday we displayed a NEW exhibit and preview of
"Leaders are Readers" in the Gallery.
