Deconstructing Communism with Dr. Irving Berkowitz

On April 24th, we had the pleasure to hear a terrific presenter,
Dr. Irving Berkowitz. He is our very own Dean of Academic
Affairs here at Palm Beach State College.

 This event was held on the 2nd floor of library-LLRC building. 
"Got Papers" is sponsored by The PTLC. 
   
 This event was well attended by students, faculty and staff.

Dr. Berkowitz describes how he and others work hard to preserve human dignity in Romania and Albania.
 
He tells about the dangers of each trip and their zealous involvement in building and improving
the human development programs in Southeastern Europe.

As the son of Holocaust survivors, Dr. Berkowitz has been passionately engaged in issues and causes related to social justice, prejudice and equal opportunity. His is the proud recipient of numerous awards and recognition from civil rights organizations such as the Urban League, the North American Indian Association and the New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum. Recently (January 2013) Dr. Berkowitz was honored as the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial speaker at an Urban League sponsored event for the City of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
