“Until recently, few would have even believed that Blacks and mixed-race people lived in Hitler’s Germany let alone underwent the horrors which some, luckily, survived to tell in this documentary.
This unique and extraordinary film uncovers the gruesome torture and murder of Black Germans in the Third Reich through a profoundly distressing experience in Nazi Germany. Piecing together experiences of the survivors and the descendants of victims, together with rare archive materials gleaned from that period, BLACK SURVIVORS OF THE HOLOCAUST documents a moving, if brutal, tale of medical experiments involving sterilization, torture and grisly death in Nazi concentration camps. It is a revelation that shattered the conspiratorial silence of what the Nazis did to Blacks” during the Holocaust.
