“Everything you Wanted to Know about the Bachelor’s Degree Programs But Haven’t Asked”! 

 
Dr. Kaplan shared her overview of the historical development of the Bachelor’s programs, what’s happening now and what’s in store for the future.  
  





 

February 19 TRiO and
Student Support Services

The library enjoyed participating in TRiO Day’s ‘Amazing Race’ themed scavenger hunt this week.  We were excited and proud to be part this event for students from middle and high school classes!  











 



What is TRiO?  TRiO’s support team helps low-income and first-generation college students and individuals with disabilities graduate from college. 



 


Services include assistance with securing financial aid; personal, academic and career counseling; academic instruction; assistance with transition to four-year programs from two-year institutions; and assistance with applying to graduate and professional programs.

February 29,
1st Social Media Contest - Library -Instagram
February was LOVE YOUR LIBRARY Month at PBSC Library!
The library celebrated with an Instagram Contest. To enter students had to take a photo of something they loved about our library including a sentence about the photo, then posting it on their Instagram. Two winners have been contacted to pick up their prizes.

What Did You Miss? Part 1


February 2016 was a VERY busy month in our library!
 
We started off the month with the PBSC Nursing Student Association’s reach out!  On the 2nd floor of the library and other stations around campus they provided blood pressure readings. Did you know heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year?  The library also put on a display of books about 'Women's Heart Disease' for students, faculty and staff to check out.

February 2nd Civility is Sweet

PTLC hosted The Lake Worth Civility Committee’s "Civility is Sweet" event in the Gallery-LLRC. The Civility is Sweet Contest was announced and forms were available on the 2nd floor of the library and the Student Activities Center.  Contest forms were given to someone who did something nice. A drop box was available at our Reference Desk. The drawing was Friday, February 19th.
