Part 1 - LLRC Fall Events - What you might have missed!

August:
NEW LIBRARY SERVICE FOR STUDENTS!

Pay your library fine at the desk-3rd floor-Library-LLRC!

At the beginning of the Fall Term, the Circulation Department implemented a new service in the library.

If a student needs to pay a library fine, they can use their Panther Card and pay at the desk.

Students can reload their Panther card using cash in the Cash Management Machine on the 1st and 3rd floors of the library.  We can also show students how to add money to their Panther Card account using a debit or credit card. Stop by the 2nd or 3rd floor of the library and ask us how!

No more trips to the Cashier's office and back to the library:]

of the TRiO program!

Topic-TRiO: We Make a World of Difference

Gallery’s Archive Windows updated!
Our college library on the Lake Worth Campus is home to the Palm Beach State College archives. The Archives room shares space with the Gallery, a place where we host wonderful art shows, interesting history exhibits, lectures by distinguished professors and exciting programs.

The glass windows separating the Gallery from the Archives were plain and unappealing.
Once the project received approval, library staff selected four images representing various decades in the college history.
The vintage images lend a classy flair to our library gallery and archive.

We located a local vendor that the college has used for other projects and received an estimate to have the film generated and applied to the windows.

We began celebrating
Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15th in the LLRC-Gallery!

Upcoming Part 2 will include many photos of this terrific event on Oct. 2nd, 'Savor the Flavor'!

The next blog will include photos of raffle winners and all the deliciousness of food tastings!
