Join the LINCCLearn Talking Tech Webcast Tuesday June 21, 2:00 – 3:30 pm ET

Including our very own Reference Librarian Diana Moore
 from Palm Beach State College!

QR Codes are "the new big thing." Already common in commercial applications, libraries are realizing their power to provide information to their users. Find out what they are and how easily your library can uses them to benefit users. Come hear Diana Moore of Palm Beach State College, Chad Mairn of St. Petersburg College, and Steve Kohlberg of Edison State College talk about how they are using QR codes in their libraries.

You can sign up for the webcast here:

or … scan this code with your smart phone!

Using my Android App from a major shopping trip last winter, I scanned this QR tag with my phone using the 'Shopper' app and I also tried 'QuickMark' App. Both App's worked well, but I like QuickMark better.  This QR tag took me to the registration page for CCLA for this Talking Tech Webcast.  I can register right from my phone:]  We have QR tags now in our General Collection, in the Public Service area and in the Periodical Dept. This adds a very fun feature to learning in the library!
